ALEXIS MARIE CHUTE
Alexis Marie Chute is an award-winning photographer, artist, author, filmmaker, book publisher, and art curator. She was named an “Emerging Canadian Photographer” by PhotoLife Magazine, and was distinguished with the John Poole Award for the Promotion of the Arts for her work with InFocus Photo Exhibit. She is the author of the multi-award-winning bestselling memoir Expecting Sunshine: A Journey of Grief, Healing and Pregnancy After Loss (2017, She Writes Press), with its accompanying documentary film, which has been screened internationally. She is also the author of the fantasy series, The 8th Island Trilogy, including Above the Star, Below the Moon, and Inside the Sun. She has her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Design and her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.
